Would it be alright to learn to play with this guitar?

Well, since you're starting out, it doesn't really matter what you start on, although most people recommend starting on an acoustic. If you are really considering buying a different guitar though, I think you should go to Guitar Center, where there are tons of guitars. Try out different guitars, it's much easier to decide on a guitar when you've actually played the guitar and know how it's going to sit on your leg, you know what the action is like, you know how well it stays in tune, and you know whether you like the sound or not.That is how I pick out my guitars, but I do look around online and I always know what I want the guitar to look like, although I don't always pick one that looks like what I wanted it to.
