In what way is Meiosis II similar to mitosis?

Mitosis is similar to Meiosis II is that end result is the amount of DNA is reduced to half when the cell splits or undergoes cytokinesis. A cell that undergoes Mitosis will end up with 2n (twice the number of chromosomes), but a cell that undergoes Meiosis II will end up with n (only one copy of chromosomes). Cells that normally undergo Meiosis II are cells, so when fertilization occurs the zygote will have 2n the number of chromosomes.
