What does "perrita" mean in Colombia? Is it an insult? Like as in "bee i tee see h"?

im currently spending the summer in colombia and some of my cousins friends referred to me as "perrita". i also met this guy i kinda like and when i went on his facebook his friend asked what finally happened with "la perrita"? does it mean slut or *****? or is it a term used for young girls? thing is i would normally think that they're saying but i honestly havent done anything near -ish. actually i dont even dance. like at all. im reaaaaal confused. are these people insulting me?
