I have two questions about income tax?

If a person has only himself to claim and no other dependents, does he file single, or single,head of household? My next question is if you get a rapid anticipation loan (which is a check from a bank) does your bank put a hold on it when you deposit it in your account...and if so what would be the difference in getting the anticipation loan or getting the 2 week e-file...it would be about the same amount of time before the money is available to you, but you would pay alot more for the anticipation loan...please explain???
